Spring updates from The Message Lab
In the midst of physical distancing due to COVID-19, I want to share a few of the good things that have been happening in The Message Laboratory this spring semester.
In January, my collaborator Dr. Kathy Sherman-Morris presented work from an interdisciplinary collaborative effort at the American Meteorological Society annual meeting: Sherman-Morris, K., Seitz, H. H., Strawderman, L., & Warkentin, M. (2020, January). Perceived costs associated with protective actions across multiple threats. Poster presented at the American Meteorological Society 100th Annual Meeting, Boston, MA.
In February, I was honored to be invited to speak on a panel at the Mississippi Communication Association to discuss ways to involve undergraduate students in research.
Finally, this month, I am pleased to share a new publication from my collaborator and co-author, Dr. Katy Guttmann, at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Our work is titled “A Mixed Methods Analysis of Parental Perspectives on Diagnosis and Prognosis of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Graduates With Cerebral Palsy” and is available at https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/0883073820901412.
