New Grant-Funded Project: EXCITE
I am pleased to share that the Message Laboratory will be leading a project funded by the Extension Collaborative on Immunization Teaching and Engagement (EXCITE). This national initiative, funded through an interagency agreement between the United States Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will provide science-based vaccine education for Mississippi adults. This collaborative effort brings together a multi-disciplinary team of experts with ties to the Mississippi State University Extension Service, the Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Health Promotion, the Department of Communication, and the Social Science Research Center. The grant will fund an 18-month campaign, which will include a multi-media component and partnerships with local pharmacies and churches.
